Please save yourself your money and a lot of heart ache. Do not use them. Stefan Sokolowski did NOTHING during trial to defend my husband. His partner was just as bad in court. Stefan lied when he told us he was putting in a motion for a speedy trial instead he delayed it for a month and when questioned about it, he said he did not feel like filing it. During trial it was a CLEAR CASE of INEFFECTIVE COUNSEL and conspiring with the Prosecutors. He lied over and over again and in the end, after he was fired he told the judge they "ran out of disks" at the office but that he would later provide all of the items that he had in his possession. To date, he STILL REFUSES to hand over everything he had. It is his clear legal obligation to return client property upon termination of representation. We were fooled by him and even at the beginning of trial I believed in him and that he would use the defense that was discussed. But, he did not. It is one thing to lose a case when the attorney you hired TRIES but something totally different when your attorney does not try at all instead hands the trial to the prosecutors and sends an innocent man to prison.
