I called this office twice and spoke with the assistant, Maria, both times. On the first call, I explained my complex situation and was quoted an extremely high fee and told to call back. On the second call, I was informed that Mr. Mann does not handle family court criminal matters, which contradicted the earlier conversation. 2024 was the hardest year of my life. March 2024 I found myself facing two charges with the minimum of 2 years jail time to the maximum of 25+. as a single mother of 2 who Lived in Kansas City Missouri at the time , I felt helpless. My friend recommended Joel because he helped her brother tremendously 2 years before to my situation. After doing my research then calling his office i met an angel named Maria! She was so helpful , understanding , kind but yet still diligent! She made this experience so much easier , after dealing with a PD for a few months who treated me as if I was guilty , Maria was a breath of fresh air who’s voice alone gave me hope in my situation. I never met Joel until my preliminary hearing ( due to us being 1700miles apart) but he handled everything perfectly over email and phone. Joel got me the best deal i could have ever imagined in my situation. No jail time , no probation , just a 1500$ fine and to stay out of trouble! I cried happy tears for 2 days straight! I am so grateful for Joel and Maria! After my preliminary Hearing , overly satisfied with the outcome I then decided to get married at the same court house on the same day!
