I received an out of state traffic violation In Arkansas for being in a minor traffic accident for which I was found at fault by the investigating Police Officer. After I returned home to Texas and trying to pay the citation online, the court clerk told me that I had to go to court and see the Judge. Mr. Stegall represented my son. I read reviews and spoke with him and I felt he would help our case. First off I had to slide my payment under the door which was weird, but I still went alone with him representing him. A week goes by actually two days before court I get a call about the case as if he rushing things for next day court. As a client I was very frustrated because instead of being on our side he wanted my son to accept the deal and case close. Maybe it was bc he has a planned vacation that was not mentioned until court so I’m really confused on why take a new case knowing you are not available for weekly court dates.Not only that the communication was so awkward that I got several members to speak on my son behalf and the day of court he didn’t use not one but told me a week ago it would be great to have a few come up. My son gets out and he call the next day and ask if he out like really I would rather not you call. The deal breaker was his secretary supposedly gave him my number wrong but I had just spoke with him hours ago he just forgot to return my call and court was the next day. I even gave my email several times as if we didn’t pay in full and it’s not important to him. If it wasn’t for the judge giving him a second chance he would still be down there bc this lawyer gives 0 courtesy calls until the day before court. I dnt care what whoever write back to make him look good. Look into someone else before choosing Stegall Law Firm.
