Ex Client here, this comment is only my assessment of my time spent as her client, nothing more. Alisa Woodward was court appointed to me… and I find attorneys who don’t do their due diligence in court appointed cases lack integrity. She is a textbook example of the attorney you dread to get. First red flag, in our first meeting she looked at my record and told me that I was a criminal before actually reading said charges (all dismissed) so you know I had to watch her from that moment on… After 3 court resets I had to ask her to watch the footage from the case (1hr) so we can get somewhere. If I hadn’t she would have never viewed it. second read flag. Then when I came in… we watched evidence that could have the whole case closed but instead she waited two court dates to present the evidence to the DA… And when she did she wasn’t a bulldog, my tax dollars don’t pay for you to be timid or passive aggressive. innocent civilians need a bulldog. Not a "lady"… She told me she wins so many cases in that courtroom so the judge and DA won’t let up on my very simple verbal harassment charge. Made me question if the states is really looking into cases or just closing out a file? Any who…be careful she’s ex law enforcement (ask her about her own criminal record which she thinks makes her relatable but no) and the way she works in cases are from the perspective of the Prosecution not her client… She’s the type to push for you to waste the courts time and jeopardize your life/career taking pleas that only benefit the state and her stats… After I seen how she moved I let her go… I’d take my chances ANYWHERE else over being swindled by an attorney like her… don’t be afraid to ask for another attorney if you get The Lady Law. Maybe her motivations are different when paid but as a state funded attorney, her ethics are questionable.
