When many other attorneys felt my case wasn't worth their time or energy Andrew stepped up without hesitation. My situation made all the more difficult as I now live overseas making online meeting times all the more difficult. It has been a seemingly endless and almost hopeless process fighting my ex-wife's lawyers ( 3 different law firms, 3 different lawyers in the last firm) who were not afraid to bend if not even break the law prior to Andrew's involvement. Andrew, through thoughtful negotiation worked out a settlement that I can work with and had not seemed possible before. I hope this will be the last chapter of what has now been a 16 year process. I will not hesitate to retain Andrew again in the future if it becomes necessary.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but thanking someone personally for helping you through one of the most difficult times in your life doesn’t seem enough. I consulted with a few attorneys in my area before meeting with Andrew. He presents with a friendly, calm and confident demeanor that puts you at ease right away. He answered my questions, explained options and potential next steps. I left his office feeling relieved that I had found the attorney to represent me. Andrew and his staff communicated with me when necessary and answered any questions that I or my advocates had throughout the process. I never felt judged for showing emotions or when needing information explained differently. There was no pressure to settle a particular way and that he was fully capable and confident to go to trial. In the end, we came up with an agreement I felt was fair and allowed me the ability to move onto the next chapter of my life. I cannot recommend Andrew Wood enough for a Divorce. After our first meeting, I immediately knew Andrew was the perfect person for my case. Andrew always explained everything to me from beginning to end. As you can imagine, the divorce was emotional and difficult but Andrew was so compassionate and understanding. I had to share information with him that I’ve never told anyone and I never felt judged or embarrassed. I should add that the divorce was incredibly complex and involved a business that in the end I ended up getting because Andrew handled it amazingly. Honestly, he went above and beyond. He always asked me how the kids were doing and I could see he genuinely cared and was concerned. Some attorneys really up-charge their fees, but not Andrew. He was worth EVERY SINGLE CENT. I met Andrew at a bar in Albany just one time & thought to myself at the time : "Well, here's a guy I wouldn't mind having a beer with every now & then !" Little did I know that in less than 2 years' time, I would be scuffing the steps up to his Office for my Separation Decree & Custody Agreement. Andrew was extremely helpful, took his time to explain my options, answered all my questions -- & strange as it may sound -- I think he way Under-Billed me !!! A lawyer that under-bills . . . ?!! Now, that's a first. He got me through a very tough time -- & all in a very humane, validating & intelligent way -- & he got me what I required to have a serene & painless legal separation.
