Kenea Bains and her assistant Cindy did a fantastic job helping me through the probate process which took over 2 years to complete. Both were caring, professional, and thorough in every regard. I was referred to Kenea Bains and Bains Law Inc. by my realtor that recognized that I was involved in a messy family trust issue and I should speak to an attorney. Kenea was very understanding and empathetic, and she gave me the knowledge and clarity to help me understand what my options were. Shortly thereafter, my family trust became VERY ugly, as a caretaker had interfered with the trust which caused me to need to take legal action to rectify the issue. Kenea quickly went into action and I felt cared for throughout the whole process. She took care of all court filings, represented me in court (during Covid), served all paperwork that needed serving, and was very honest, transparent, and upfront with me during the entire process. She was ready and willing to fight for me as long as it took, and she gave me outstanding counsel throughout the entire process. Because of her persistence and quick action, we were able to settle this case much quicker than I imagined. Cindy was also amazing in the office and she jumped into assist whenever it was needed. Kenea Bains is extremely knowledgeable, but to me, that is only half of what makes an excellent attorney. She worked tirelessly on my case, which was a time-sensitive matter during a particularly stressful time period in my life. She took the time to explain the law, my rights, and my options for each decision that needed to be made, and was supportive every step of the way. Kenea, was a savior to a woman who lost hope there was ever going to be resolution to her situation… I am a Realtor and have worked with other Attorneys on several matters. In this situation there was a missing Trust, and no one knew who the appointed trustee was. The woman had contacted a paralegal to help her who could not. She then found me, to which then I sent her to 2 different Attorneys I have working relationships with. They could not help her – her situation seemed hopeless as 3 doors had closed! I had heard Kenea speak at a training conference I attended and admired her pose, intelligence and professionalism. I reached out to her for her help and she was very receptive. When my ordeal began I knew I was going to need an attorney. I called the law office an spoke to mrs. Bains. She met with me that same day. She is very professional but at the same time down to earth an easy an comforting to talk to. I retained her services. One of the best choices I've made. My case lasted for several years an I felt just as important to her on the last day of my ordeal as I did on the first day. I believe I was directed to her for a reason. I have known Kenea for over 15 years. In my line of work having someone experienced with the knowledge of estate planning and probate is imperative. Kenea is not only knowledgeable of the probate laws her compassion for the clients is paramount. As most people will know, the probate process can be very intimidating often times emotional. She has always gone the extra step for the client not only does she find the best solution but is proactive thru the whole process from beginning to end, and always makes sure the client understands what is happening.
