My experience with Compass Rose was stress-free and positive. Mr. Hansen and his staff are very knowledgeable. I had Dave work on my trust some time ago. He is very well versed with South Dakota trust law, estate planning, and wills. I recommend him to all my friends for their trusts. Would definitely send anyone I know his way for business planning as well. The only problem I have is that Google doesn’t provide a 6-star option for Compass Rose.

We had a wonderful experience with Compass Rose Law Firm for updating our living trust. We had a trust from the previous state we lived in and needed to make sure there would be no problems with it since we retired in South Dakota and plan to live here for the rest of our lives. Our updated trust is so thorough - much more detailed than what we had from our previous attorney. My aunt died in NV shortly after we restated our trust with Compass Rose. She had given my cousin power of attorney and had a trust from FL but because it didn't specify burial arrangements, my sister and cousin had to coordinate with my father (next of kin) to get the required paperwork completed to comply with my aunts wishes for burial. When I checked our trust, everything is covered so all the extra running around by my cousin, sister, and father would not have been necessary as it is included in our trust. As I said, very thorough. And pricing was reasonable! If you are looking to create a living trust (and everyone should, especially if you have kids) and you live near Rapid City, I highly recommend David Hansen and Compass Rose Law Firm.

David Hansen is easy to talk to and listens to your questions. He is friendly and understanding. When my daughter was signing her first apartment contract he took the time to explain to her what some of the vocabulary meant so that she could better understand what she was signing.

David is personable, professional, and knowledgeable in estate planning. I truly appreciate his guidance and expertise.

Very professional, gave me and my husband great explanations and advice on how to move forward with our LLC. Even suggested other avenues for us to research to ensure we are getting things set up properly.
