Ms. Haney advertises herself as a nurse/attorney. I went to her office twice. It was locked. I could only slide payment and documents she asked for in a mail slot. I had surgery 3 days ago. i need another surgery. She expects me to sign legal documents under the influence of pain medication. I had a protective order filed against me that in the initial consultation she advised did not rise to the level of needing a protective order. After i hired her, she began to speak down to me as if I was uneducated. I'm sorry, but this is the reason attorneys have such a bad reputation is this slimy behavior. In 2 weeks Ms. Haney claims to have more than exhausted a retainer i paid but refuses to answer my questions. This is unethical. She is duty bound to answer any questions about money. Instead, she is now hanging up on me and presenting me a padded bill with no contract in place. It's shady to me that a business would be locked during business hours. It makes me wonder how much money she owes other clients. I paid her for one court appearance according to her. She will tell you she is not like other attorneys. There are serious ethical issues in this matter that I was willing to pay her to represent me for. She refuses to return my files, which is unethical. She refuses to call me but will send me long emails when I tell her that email is not my best method of communication. Its longer to type out an email than make a quick phone call. Just one example of her fraudulent billing practice. With no contract in place, she charges me more than I paid her in a retainer for emails she received from opposing counsel when she filed a motion stating that my ex threatened to increase costs. Do not hire this attorney. She is only wanting your money. I see why she changed careers. Hire at your own risk.

Carla Haney Law Firm is the best law firm that I have ever experienced. Attorney Haney and her staff are very professional. Attorney Haney does everything by the book. She is not an attorney that can be bought or intimidated by other firms. She is loyal to her client and always communicates with clients what’s the best move to make. She does not make decisions off of her emotions, she doesn’t take the attacks from the opposing side personal, she remains focused and gets the job done. To be totally honest she should charge more than what she charges, but because of her pure heart, she wants to be able to help anyone who really needs the help. I thank GOD for her and her unwavering commitment to my family and myself to make sure we prevail at the end of it all!

I hired Attorney Carla Haney to represent me and my concerns in a child custody matter as well as a few other cases. Attorney Haney handled all of my matters with professionalism, honesty, integrity, respect, dedication, and remarkable ethics. Attorney Haney kept me well informed about my cases throughout the process via email and phone calls when needed. Attorney Haney always returned phone calls and emails very quickly, in many instances within an hour or two, and certainly no longer than 24 hours at most when she was in court. I just have to say Carla and her team are an absolute god sent. She has such a big heart and address all her clients concerns, as well updating on status of your case as she finds it out. Carla literally puts her everything into your case, she also doesn't treat you like your just a client she treats you as her equal and also addresses your fears and concerns. Which is really rare......I am truly blessed that God crosses our paths together. She quite literally helped make one of the most stressful scary times of my life so much more tolerable. I can pretty much guarantee if anyone has the blessing of choosing your firm they will be extremely satisfied.

I initially reached out to this office to take advantage of the free consultation advertised on their website. I spoke with Attorney Carla Haney regarding amending a birth certificate and establishing paternity. We discussed my issues in detail. I expressed I had allocated a budget for this matter and asked if that was ok with her. She verbally accepted my case and even explained things I can do to help reduce costs and eliminate steps for her. She went MIA for a minute and wasn't responsive but later explained she was in trial so I was understanding of that. It was strange that when I proceeded to do those things we initially discussed during our consultation; she had an issue with it. I felt she was gaslighting me. She would give me options on how to proceed with my case via email but then be offended if I ask a question or wanted to pass along paperwork to parties involved in the case. It was very weird because why give me the option to do so and then get upset about it when I do? When I followed up with her for next steps and to discuss payment, her tone and approach to my case had changed. She even went on to say she'd need an additional cost to setup another consultation with me when I didn't request it and was clear on the process of my case. When I expressed I didn't need another consultation, she became upset and declined my case After she had already accepted it. Since we didn't have a contract in place I know she has every right to do so. It was just so weird and very unprofessional to wasted weeks of my time. Imagine if we proceeded with the case. I wondered if this is the behavior I would've signed up for. In the end, I was extremely disappointed. This is not an office I'd recommend and my experience was not good with her.

Thanks to Haney law firm I’m closer to ending my case this has been a lil more easier since my attorney Mrs carla Haney contacted me best thing l can say is never do business in Orleans parish because people are allowed to get away.
