5 stars for me, everyone has their own opinion this was my experience. Attorney Trevor Hatfield is the real deal. During my consultation he listened, asked focused questions, and got straight to the point. He laid out my options clearly what’s strong, what’s weak, and the exact next steps without hype or pressure. Fees were transparent, and he was willing to work with me on the consultation cost given my situation. His staff was professional, picked up the phone, and followed up quickly. I left with a concrete plan and realistic expectations, not legal jargon. I called to set up an appointment for a retaliation case. His 80 year old assistant was dismissive and rude. Im not sure why she felt her age was important to me and my situation. It was huge red flag. He wants you to pay for a consultation but is unable to review documents to prepare for a meeting you have to pay for. It's not worth $225 to waste my time and explain it to you when I can provide a written document with all the necessary details. I'm expecting full attention when I provide you payment. I want to make the most out of this initial consultation and feel confident about choosing you. If he can't do this than he will be unprepared for your case and it will just drain your bank account. Lawyers just want your money. They don't want to help you. In a consultation as the perspective client I get to determine whether your competent to follow through with the case because you comphend the details. He wants the money and not interested in the details. This is a update to his response: I never spoke to Mr. Hatfield. I only spoke with his 80 year old secretary. No demands were made. I was informed by his 80 year old secretary he would not review my grievence letter prior to the appointment. Since they were refusing pertent information to prepare for my consult that I was required to pay $225 ( $200 if I paid by cash or check) I said no problem. I'll contact a different attorney. I've used serval attorneys in the valley for estate issues and have never had this problem before.. Stay away from Mr. Hatfield is behavior is irrational, childish, condescending, and clearly unethical. Competent attorneys don't behave this way in the professional world.

I will NOT RECOMMEND this democratic party firm to anyone. It seems by other reviews I'm not alone where employees, including the owner, of this firm are rude to potential customers. I made it clear several times I wasn't particularly looking for representation by them, but moreover just legal advice. And invariably, their employee and eventually Mr. Hatfield himself kept asking questions I had already declined to answer due to protecting the confidentiality of my case. They didn't have a need to know the information they were asking, and the repeated inquiries were out of line and highly suggestive they would have contacted the opposing party to tip them off! I'm tempted to contact the State bar regarding possible ethics violations.

The person who answered the phone was nice and it was quick and easy to schedule the consultation. Mr. Hatfield was knowledgeable and told me the truth about my potential case. Good experience and I will return if necessary.

I met with Attorney Hatfield and, he was honest and provided me with immediate direction and also showed care and concern! I could tell he was a take charge AND kind hearted professional!

Very knowledgeable lawyer. He listened to my story and acknowledged what I'm going through and then provided honest feedback. We went through a few scenarios and conclusions to determine the best outcome. Even though it did not make sense to move forward with his services, he still spent the time to put my wife and I at ease. I hope to never have to use law services again, but if I do, I will definitely come back for another consultation with Trevor.

I came to get a better understanding of some contracts. His staff was friendly and hospitable. Trevor took his time, and I never felt rushed during our conversation. While he was not able to clarify the details of the contract for me, as they're not in his jurisdiction, I left knowing exactly what my next steps were to find the resolve.
