I had an excellent experience working with HKM, and Sandra and Shifa made it even better. They were friendly, patient, and consistently responsive, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I’m glad they help other people. It’s interesting to see them deny without even looking at all the evidence if one has a solid case after knowing of all the evidence, too. What’s MORE interesting? The lack of professionalism if they choose not to assist, which is fine if they don’t as that’s their prerogative. However — not once, but twice they’ve been contacted, went through the whole intake process and they kindly say they’ll get back in roughly 3 business days. The first time? Didn’t hear back in 3 business days so reached out and was told that it’s still under review and they’ve escalated it. From there it took an additional 4 business days to finally get a response. The second time told the same thing, 3 business days. Sat still longer before reaching out for an update. Had to reach out after 8 business days. Yes. EIGHT. To ask for an update. Super quick to reach out and etc. when you first contact them though to get information so they can review. But… Literally will ghost you each time after the fact, if they choose to not take a case. Again, glad they seem to help some people but with both experiences not so sure I’d ever want to work with a firm that is this unprofessional and don’t seem to ever follow through on their word. That’s kind of unsettling especially from a law firm. I’ll be looking elsewhere for more reliable professionals. Though I asked for another update after the second time of waiting 8 business days, there’s no need for them to.

Having Shifa as a lawyer made me feel hopeful. I thought nobody could assist me with my issue. I made multiple phone calls to find legal representation, but it was hopeless to leave messages. Some of them did not even bother to call me back, and I felt completely hopeless until I decided to read various reviews. The whole process takes time, of course, but it was helpful to know the lawyer's estimated timeline. Very disappointed they did not take my case. I had all the direct evidence they could ever want or need for wrongful termination. (it was even juicy evidence.) Anyways, when they said they would not take my case,I very quickly shrugged and laughed them off. Long story short, I fought the good fight and won an $80,000 settlement. I'm happy I was competent enough on my own to the point I didn't need a boy or girl wearing a little suit to fight my case, since I actually know my stuff and would not take "no" for an answer. I'm a Scorpio, so I probably fight more aggressively than some lawyer. Maybe I should be a lawyer, I'm still young and now rich enough to support myself.
