DO NOT GO WITH THIS FIRM. We were referred to this firm by someone we knew and had high hopes that they would handle our case properly. Ours was simple with no issues, and since this was our first legal case, we put a lot of trust in them. At first, they were great with communication and explaining the process. We were assigned to Stephanie and Melanie, who told us our case should be easy and straightforward. Once we submitted everything she asked for and paid the fees, it took MONTHS before we were updated on whether or not she had even submitted it. We sent constant emails and made phone calls until we almost decided to move firms. Only then did they contact us to say it had finally been submitted. We wasted months just waiting for the form to be filed, and even after repeatedly asking for copies of everything completed before submission, we were ignored and after getting a copy of it months later, the previous application information was all mixed up with our new one showing it wasn’t carefully even reviewed and submitted at all. All the times we spent trying to get in contact with them was time that could have been spent waiting for approval. After submission, I contacted them with questions about traveling and additional evidence I needed to include with my application, but I couldn’t get in contact with them at all. I called for weeks, then months, and was ALWAYS told I would get a call back, but I never did. There’s a reason all the other bad reviews are saying the same thing. This being our first legal case, they turned it into a nightmare experience and wasted over $2K of our money. We will be switching firms and would never ever recommend anybody to hire this firm and go through what we went through. I don’t even write google reviews but my experience was so bad with them I had to. Not sure where all the other positive reviews are coming from but this was our honest experience and it seems so many other people have as well

I repeat do not waste your time with this firm. They literally ghosted me after they submitted my K1 case and on top some info in the application was wrong even after we told her to review it with me and spouse before she submits to double check everything was correct. After Melanie was assigned to my case it was basically impossible to get in contact with her or the firm. I’d try zoom calls and would even give her a time and date but it never happened. I’d call the front desk constantly and would always be told I’d get a call back from Melanie but never. If you’re reading the reviews, I promise you do not hire this firm. You’re paying thousands just for you to basically do all the work and for them to ghost you.

I called this firm upon recommendation from my brother back in April 2023. I was quoted 6-8 weeks to submit our i601 for my husband and spoke initially to Chris, who had previously handled my brothers paperwork for his wife. I was introduced to Melanie that was assigned to our case and it took from April 8th to September 9th to file our i601 waiver, this pace was WITH consistent follow ups and what felt like forced appointments because Melanie rarely returned messages or calls without setting an appointment. These appointments were always 7days out. I did my best to be patient but eventually had to professionally express the delay or lack of correspondence. Still no results except for the couple times I finally emailed Melanie with Chris copied onto the email. Then I would hear back usually within 24 hours. Since filing, I have periodically (maybe once every 9months) tried to get in touch with Melanie or someone at the firm that could get me professional insight on trends for their clients approvals. Or for assistance with an expedition request. This firm seems to have only trended down farther. Now I am greeted by a real person, but when I asked to speak with Melanie last week I again never received a call back. I’ve asked to make an appointment with her and yet, whoever is answering the phone doesn’t have access to her schedule. I asked to be put into contact with who is able to get me an appointment and was literally told Melanie only has access or maybe some girl (named destiny?) I didn’t catch it and honestly I think the person that answered dropped the name regretfully. Either way, upon asking for a way to make an appointment on this now second week….I was met with "I can only leave a message" on this second week of trying to contact Melanie. If you don’t have the staff, or time, or whatever the actual reason is…..I’d be much happier with someone just being honest about that. My brother also around the time I began this journey in 2023, has experienced a significant difference in this firms ability. He too had been deferred from Chris to Melanie in his next step of paperwork around that time. Do not waste your time or money here. There are firms that are more than happy to answer questions and take the time for you aside from this firm. On a much promoter basis, and not make you feel like you’re being unreasonable. Talk about gas lighting. But after paying literal thousands of dollars, I had hoped a relationship would matter to Holmes and Ramos.

I paid $1200 down payment for my naturalization plus $1500 for my daughter's greencard, since they received my money no one returns my calls or emails anymore,I've been calling every day for 2 months now smh but this as been going on for like 3yrs, I never knew a lawyer firm was actually scamming people in real time in 2025, my next move now is to try contacting the police to see how best I can retrieve my total $2700. THIS IS THE WORST LAW FIRM IN HISTORY.

I am a real person sharing a real experience. Also going to file a complaint against this law firm. It took 6 months to file the initial paperwork for my case. My case worker said my paperwork went to an email she didn't use( but I had emails from that email). They are only open 4 days a week and don't accept calls after a certain time of the day. I complained about my case worker (Adriana) and the Supervising Attorney Melanie took over. But Adriana ended up back on the case. She had my fiance check the wrong box on a form and we applied for a Tourist visa rather than a K1. This resulted in having to purchase another visa, extra plane tickets, hotels, etc. The supervising attorney then helped fill out the new visa, and we never heard from the law firm again. I requested a partial refund and was denied. I was told I could get a discount on the next phase for the green card. No thanks. This law firm cost us extra time and money. They get your money and DO NOT CARE. Better options at a much better price. I am surprised they get positive reviews at all. There must be some great people there that never touched our case

Holmes and Ramos is amazing. We finally got our fiancé visa after lots of hard work and advice from Melanie and Stephanie. Chris Holmes gave us such a fair price. Going through this process with the switch of presidents was terrifying but having my future wife arrive was all worth it. Thank you to all the staff

I had a really great experience overall with Holmes and Ramos, specifically with Stephanie Rickard, our paralegal, and Melanie as the principal attorney. Stephanie took the time to respond to our emails, answer any questions and take our phone calls. Occasionally, it was difficult to get through to the office, but they were good about returning calls. My husband's green card application process went well and was completed in less time than we expected.
