If I could give ZERO stars I would. These people got a temporary order for support from my soon to be ex. I followed up-asked for copies-did my due diligence. They NEVER filed the order. They drafted it-I approved it they never filed it. When I tried to have the order enforced because my husband doesn’t pay what he’s supposed to-I had to contact them and find out they NEVER filed it. They then filed it, I hired another atty to enforce it-only to find out from the new atty and the judge that Jean Brown did not word it properly. Upon reaching out to Jean Brown she tried to blame me on how the order was worded. They couldn’t even find my file! I had to find where I had saved the email they sent the order in for my approval. Now I’m 2 years and over $30,000 in atty fees in, and do not have an enforceable order. My deadbeat husband is happy however being able to spend all his kids support on the homewrecker.

I hired Jean Brown Law firm back in January as I wanted results with a knowledgeable and experienced firm. It was an easy process to get started with Amy Owens, she quickly helped me with filing for divorce and temporary custody orders. The paralegal at the time was sweet and informative which gave me a little confidence and reassurance with my situation as I’m unfamiliar with the process and potential options based on my situation. She ended up resigning and I was assigned a different paralegal. They have a handful of long tenured staff that’s been with the firm, so I wasn’t too concerned. A bit of shift happened with my experience, but that’s expected with any transition. I had my first mediation about a month ago and have my second one around the corner. I felt underprepared going into the first one and am hoping on more guidance and support this next round. My suggestion is once you do your research and get clear on what you want, consult several attorneys who are experienced in their field and can help you with your exact needs and what you value. Amy has experience with my specific needs and I’m sure I will be satisfied with the final results. Be prepared. It’s been extremely costly as you will be paying a premium hourly rate, at least compared to the other firms I consulted with. I will update the review once this is all over.

Jean was referred to me by a client and she did an amazing job in helping me with custody and fought for me. I will say that to me customer service and support is important, I would get a call back from her staff or her if I had any questions and she was very helpful in describing the process I would about to go through regarding custody. She did get me more time with my daughter which was priceless. I can't thank her and her staff for all the support they provided which allowed me to spend more time with my daughter.
