Terrible attorney. Was literally unprepared every hearing and skimming over paperwork of my case as I showed up to each court date during my divorce. His receptionist would give him arguing points for my defense and it was the first he was seeing or knowing what to say literally 10 minutes before we were to start zoom video. But even then his receptionist had to show him how to connect to the courts but she barely knew how to do that. Two times they had to reschedule because they didn’t know how to connect to zoom. He failed to present key evidence that literally cost me everything. In assets, he barely spoke, he failed to mention several factors that would work in my favor, it’s like he was intimidated by the judge and has no fight in him. Plus health issues and just all around bad experience and 15 years of my life gone. Didn’t even get my half as that’s all I was seeking. Hopefully he’s hung it up as he is a nice guy but has no business representing people anymore.

Mr Engman told us from the first appointment that we'd win No problem! Many, many apps later with charges at every consultation. we went for our court date. Mr Engman had been very ill days before meeting with the judge at the courthouse for our appointed court date. Mr Engman showed up with only a pile of papers that only pertained to 1 aspect of the case. Needless to say, we lost the case quick, y and we're severely ordered to not only pay Mr. engmans charges but also the OTHER lawyers'. Approximately $20,000. Dollars. So "we are going to win the case" went in the toilet. Months later, I set up our last conversation with Mr engman to ask him to pay back the fees he charged us because he didn't "WIN." NOT EVEN CLOSE. STILL WAITING for repayment. I do beleave if we would have represented ourselves we would have had a better chance. This is only 1 of Mr Engman's cases we don't know the results of his other cases. Just know we didn't have a chance that day in court. Very costly.

I’m probably one of the hardest clients, I have a complex case, and require a high level of communication, being this is my first ever experience in family court with attorneys involved. John, Amanda and Deb are working hard for my family, they are communicating with me, and repeating things to me when I don’t understand. I feel that they truly care. Mr. Engman and his staff are excellent and caring and professional. Mr. Engman was very reassuring from the beginning of my divorce to the end. I have never been made to feel so comfortable at a law office prior to meeting John and his staff. They really listen to what you want, and are straight forward about what to expect.
