I worked with Kristen when I needed a new lawyer quite far into the process of a collaborative divorce. She came in and understood the work we’d done quickly and comprehensively, and shepherded us through the end of the process. I particularly appreciated that faced with a poorly written draft of an agreement she was able not only to make sure it reflected discussions and decisions she had not been present for but also deeply clarified the wording and intent. Most impressively, she was able to largely rewrite the entire document without offending my former husband’s lawyer ,who’d created the draft, or seeming to intrude on the work she and all of us had done. This all took place at a distance during the pandemic, yet I felt that we got to know each other quickly and work well together. No matter how amicable, it is can be a difficult and delicate process, and Kristen handled it with warmth, compassion and efficiency.
