I had MJ as my lawyer and she didn’t try to get custody for me of my kids and just worried about money. I spend over $9,000 and came out with a horrible child custody agreement and the office is still sending me another invoice for an extra $7,500. They’re rip offs and not looking for the best interest of their clients and just looking for ways to charge you more money.

Amazing experience. They were kind, responsive (soooo much more than any other lawyer I’ve heard of) and reasonable throughout my entire duration of working with them. They did not nickel and dime me in any way and took the time to hear me throughout the process without rushing me or belittling me. They were sympathetic but also realistic in how they handled the various aspects of my case. After everything was settled my ex tried to sue me later on and they handled it without charging me anything again.

I do not recommend John as a lawyer. What he said he would charge and do was not the same as what he did charge and he do. When I called to try and speak to him about this he wouldn’t take my calls. His receptionist just continued to send me the contact I unfortunately signed. I was not in the best state the one time I met with him, and I admittedly took him for his word and did not read the whole contract word for word. An almost $8000 lesson learned! Nothing I can really do other than leave this review and hope nobody else experiences what I experienced when they are dealing with such a traumatic time in life.

John and MC have truly been a blessing to my son and I. They helped guide me through the divorce and gave me many amazing resources. They listened to me, saw my pain and truly wanted to help my son and I. When I first started the divorce and child custody process, I expected immediate results and most definitely didn’t understand the legal process. However, John and MC were patient with me. They told me that my situation was going to take some time, and to trust them and hang in there. I did just that, and it was the best decision of my life. John and MC have my son and I in their best interest. I’m so thankful for this law firm.

John McKnight was the worst divorce lawyer one could ask for. Completely took advantage of someone in the wrong state of mind. Ripped us off for $7500. John said that we would pay a set fee of 5,000 for separation through divorce if both parties were agreeable. He mentioned 7500 for a retainer in case things became disagreeable. He charged 7500, we met one time, and were agreeable on everything. We went back to him 1 year later for the divorce and he said we did not have any more time left and refused to help. Reporting him to the BBB, for him being a scam artist. HES A RIP OFF SCAM ARTIST If you get divorced, don’t go anywhere near this creep.

I will never forget the patience, kindness and expertise with which MC and John handled my divorce and custody cases over the last 2 years. They were my guides through an intimidating and highly emotional process. The legal outcome was exactly what I'd been hoping for. While I would recommend them to anyone, I would particularly suggest them to other women leaving a difficult and destructive marriage with their children. MC and John get it.

My wife and I have been working with John McKnight and have been extremely pleased and impressed with him. From our first conversation over the phone, John has been extremely helpful, caring, considerate, and intelligent. We are very happy with John and would highly recommend him for legal matters.
