Don't get fooled by their plan, they abruptly ended my program and didn't inform me for several months and I received summons from court from collector. DO NOT PUT YOUR CREDIT SCORE IN RISK.

They took our money and saved us none in our efforts to get help managing our debt. They failed to complete agreements with creditors, failed to make payments… you can negotiate more effectively on your own without legal representation! I highly recommend you do NOT work with Northstar. Considering how much we payed them, we were more in debt because we payed them and did not make payments on our debt. Northstar is a SCAM. What a regret that we ever signed anything with them. Save yourself the grief and find any other way to handle your financial problems.

Consolidated my credit cards with this company thinking this was the right decision to make. They have done nothing for me. Collect my money and let it sit in an account. Creditors have sued me and I had no assistance from this company. They are actively being sued by the Minnesota Attorney General for stealing money from clients. Do not do business with this company.

Sent this to the attorney's office since I have been unable to contact you for 5 weeks: To whom it may concern: On May 18, 2024 I reached out to Northstar Legal Group for help consolidating my loans. My enrolled debt amounted to 31,536.14. I agreed to pay Northstar legal group 571.00 a month for their services. I was instructed to avoid answering all calls from debt collectors while a team of legal personnel would be negotiating on my behalf a settlement with them. Time progresses and I continued to pay 571.00 monthly. On 12/9/2023 a loan was taken out by Northstar Legal Group through Versara Lending for a total of 18,200.00 under my name. My payments of 571.00 a month are now being directed to Versara Lending. To this very day there has been no progress in a settlement for a loan of 22,000.00 through Lending club, a loan I enrolled with Northstar Lending Group. I am receiving multiple calls on a daily basis from debt collectors. Calls are even coming to my work- a hospital operating room control desk reserved solely for surgical matters and concerns. My credit score is completely shot. Everytime I try and reach out to Northstar Legal Group I am put on hold for over 45 minutes and am never connected to anybody. The one time someone answered the phone she pretended not to hear me. I never get replies through their Northstar portal app and never get replies via email aside from please "call us". Today August 17th 2024 I drove an hour to their office on Washington ave Minneapolis. Their website said they were open until 5pm. I could not even find an entrance to their office. I am so concerned financially. Do I continue paying 571.00 a month indefinitely? Please, please help me. Thank you so much! Sincerely Dominic Bourbeau

I regret I believed this company and all the sweet talk they told. I was told that it should take about 2-2.5 years and everything should be paid off, it's now over 3 years and it sounds like it is going to be at least another 8-12 months. During this three years, I have been 3 times paying garnishment as well, my credit score is better when I started but still only high 500s. I have settle myself couple of the debts way faster then they have done to any of the ones in the program. And also find out how much of your monthly payments is really used for the payments and how much goes for their fees.

I would give them 0 stars if possible. Total rip off..You would be shocked if you saw their fees for service. Unbelievable how they take advantage of someone trying to do debt consolidation. Being sued by MN Attorney Generals office and others.

I started the program with Northstar Legal Group in January 2023. Till Septemeber 2023 not even a dollar was paid to debt companies. First payment was done in October 2023. Till now I have paid $37,544.06 to NorthStar Legal Group. They have taken $25,523.06(68%) in fees and paid $12,021(32%) to debt companies. Why so much fees? I want most of the $25,523.06(68%) refunded to me because I have been mentally abused and I have been overcharged. I started in January 2023 with monthly draft amount of $2688.08 then in a month I added few more debts to the program and my monthly draft was increased to $3,474.90 Till Septemebr 2023 since there was nothing done to pay debt companies my credit card companies interest and two summon fees went up to $15,000 approximate. My debt went up instead of going down. Northstar made 1 more debt active and increased my monthly enrollemnt by extra $791.67. I realized I don't have that much money to afford there scam program. I started removing debts which are not in active payment plan and told them to lower monthly draft amount and also for a refund of extra monthly draft money I have paid for 11 months, I was told NO. These financial transactions are handled by company named Global. This company is a scam. They are trying to make money on debt people. I am mentally tortured and feeling depressed working with this company Northstar Legal Group. I cannot beleive this company can go this low. This company will bleed you dry. I already received settlement offers at home addres and I forward to Northstar and they use it. It is best to work directly with credit card companies and personal loan companies for settlement offers. Northstar Legal Group will say not to talk to credit card companies and personal loan companies for settlement offers because they want to charge high settlement fees from us which is approximately 68% of the debt amount. On Friday 24th November I have cancelled the program.
