Richard E. Mather Attorney at Law

This attorney is very unprofessional in my opinion. He made a probate/estate case drag on for 4 years. It cause alot of grief in my family. He slithered in while we were using Greene and Phillips to work a wrongful death case. They referred him, and he originally charged $10,000 to work the estate side of the case. He is very unprofessional as he admitted that he made mistakes in the case, and that's why it took so long, also his paralegal Angel was very rude and short with me. I have freedom of speech to share my experience and you can't take action against me for slander as long as what I'm saying is true. Run away from this Attorney

3 years ago, I Paid a retainer for Mr. Mathers to take my custody case. He said he would take it and begin the process of filing for custody but he never filed the paperwork. After a Couple of months went by he still had not and when confronted he attempted to gaslight me into believing that I told him to wait. Then he ghosted me for months. He would not answer any phone calls or emails of mine and only when my parents called him and got upset did he call me back. He again tried to gaslight me and say I told him to wait to file the paperwork but he would get it filed by the end of the week. And then he ghosted me again. He took our retainer, accepted the case, and then did not one thing. I would not wish this man or his integrity on anyone. If you choose to go with him, follow up with him VERY often. Probably in person where he can not just avoid phone calls or emails. And have another lawyer in mind in case you decide to go after him for negligence, like I should have.

Richard has been my attorney for about 2 years now for a child support case and he has been WONDERFUL. He has listened to my every need and concern. He also recently just became my attorney for an auto accident and has helped me every step away. I have recommended him to friends and will keep recommending him!!
