Bottom feeders. I was sued by Sklar law for a Medicare mistake. The bill was resubmitted to Medicare and their ‘client’ got paid on 7/14/2025. On 8/14/2025 the collections lawsuit still hadn’t been removed. Unethical bottom feeders. Stay far away from these slime balls.

Skylar law is nothing but scammers in my opinion. My so called lawyer Marc Stofman has refused to get back to me in 5 months. I have emailed him and left many voicemails and messages with the secretary. They got payed in full . I have never seen a court document to prove they actually filed the charges with the court . I feel the stole my money. Cant believe they are even in business.

The lawyer who has my case is honestly not a nice person. I am struggling to stay above water. I thought I could afford one monthly payment a year Back and things changed and I cannot afford that anymore: I got behind, he started to file a judgement to try to cease my wages, meanwhile this is from debt that the hospital did not bill my insurance for, during a time when I lost a pregnancy at 17 weeks and had to have a d&c procedure. I have been begging him to lower my payments so borrow almost $500 to become current on the balance because he said he would look into lowering the payments. Now it’s either continue to pay what I can’t afford or threatened me with going to have the judgement to garnish my wages. Have 4 kids a $2700 mortgage trying to afford groceries each month plus pay my current bills. I’m already negative almost 2k each month the way it is. But he don’t care. Maybe as a company you want to hire these people because they’re threatening and awful. But you look just as awful having no human decency. I will have no choice but to continue begging family for monthly assistance just so this man don’t embarrass myself and husband by garnishing wages from our employers

The worker Denise is the epitome of terrible customer service. Rather than doing her job and assessing the situation she indulges in pointless back and forth, giggles with sarcasm, and repeats "ma’am" in a condescending tone continuously to cut you off. (Denise is highly passive aggressive) She also mentioned how she remembers me, but still wasn’t able to answer any of my questions because she was so busy hearing herself. That phone call ended by her telling me to call back when I feel better and hung up on me, with all my questions still unanswered. I called back immediately and was transferred to an attorney where I finally got the help I deserved. Im just happy I got the information I needed in the end. I hope Denise improves her approach so she can actually be useful

Terrible. I have made on time payments for months. The 1 time I asked them to move the payment date from the 3rd to the 18th. They say "yes we can do that". To find out they still took out payment on the due date. I called again to make sure they were not taking payment out again on the day I requested. I was told no only on the 3rd of the month. Well they lied and took an extra payment! This is terrible service especially for someone who is making on time payments. Don’t tell someone one thing and do another. I get your a collections agency. But doing this has been an inconvenience. The only reason I gave 1 star is because it’s the only way I can leave a comment. Do better!

If I could provide a review of negative stars, I totally would. Super unprofessional, unethical, and a complete slime ball. Their professionalism also explains a lot regarding the clients they choose to represent. I would never suggest anyone use this firm or even consult with them. I don’t understand how they are even in business.

We never thought we would be in the position to have to file bankruptcy, but using Sklar law was best decision. They went above and beyond to make the experience as smooth as possible. Every question we had they graciously answered, even after the process was complete. They were more than accommodating and flexible when needed. I definitely recommend this office for anyone facing this challenge.
