Jon and his team at Cox Law were absolutely wonderful to work with! Jon is very poised while maintaining an aggressive stance for the pursuit of justice. His approach to my case from the beginning and fearless pursuit through the entire process was an eloquent display of a true master of his craft. Observing Jon's presence in the courtroom with his distinguished bedside manners was a sight to see. He was able to rapidly control the tempo and atmosphere of my situation with the jury and relentlessly affirm the truth that was unbeknownst to them. It was made very clear that Jon took the time to appropriately prepare for my case and capitalize on the proper foundational points required to ensure my ultimate acquittal. If ever I were in need again, Jon would be the only attorney I would call. His very essence and conduct in the courtroom has left me with an indispensable amount of gratitude!!

I hired him to do something that's not typically done, I got myself into some trouble and I hired an attorney to plead my case for being released from probation early even though I half time and not quite been established. If half of the time have been established since I had been on probation I would not have hired him. I paid the man, a hearing was set, and the day before the hearing I was told that they weren't ready for the hearing. I spent what very little time I had scrambling to get the probation officers agreement to release me from probation early and when I showed up to court my attorney wasn't there. I called him and no answer. 25 minutes after my hearing time, he walks into the courtroom and Whispers in my ear I'm not going to argue your case, without any time for me to argue my own case to my attorney I get shushed by the verry man that I hired to represent me and my best interest. I had done quite well on probation, and well enough that I feel I deserve to be released early. Is that my attorney chose not to even speak to the judge about my good behavior and told the judge we weren't interested in arguing my case at this time. Later the attorney pulled me into a room and said that I wasn't to half time e yet and wasn't going to argue my case until I was. I told him that's not what I hired him to do and then he yelled at me. And he said I'm not going to do it! He literally took my money from me. He said he would argue my case later but he never said that when he took my money. I am in trouble for marijuana, Once in a while, you would come across a bad apple. I'd rather deal with those kind of people then a man like this. If your intentions are for someone to hire you and your best interests, you're not at the right place, do not hire this guy. Forewarning I gave this guy months to rectify the problem before leaving this review. He just doesn't care. I hold attorneys to a higher standard and I'm tired of giving them my money for nothing in return. I will be filing a claim and the funny thing is this review never needed to have been left but it will always remain now. So preventable. It must be nice to have a job will you have so much money that you don't care about your own reputation. Sounds better than selling marijuana to me. Maybe a little harder to sleep at night. if this attorney does anything to try to sabotage me my life, Then I will be leaving a second review on Google Yelp and the Better Business Bureau to let the public know what happened. I will not be bullied.

When I saw him in action, Jon connected very quickly with the jury and maintained that rapport! He showed that the officer testifying was probably "misremembering" what actually happened. While being gentle, Jon was able to show that the young witness had likely been coached and manipulated. He was very personable in the courtroom, but when the prosecuting attorney tried certain things, Jon stood and objected before I knew was happening and got him shut down! It was a 1-day trial and the jury was out about 18 minutes before returning with a not-guilty verdict!

Jon's a winner. His skills in the courtroom out way his brass tax bedside manor. Jon cuts to the chase and is very matter of fact. He is a trial attorney without a doubt though. He knows how to respect the judge, persuade the jury and question a witness. I think for that reason, opposing counsels tends to try and avoid trials with him and may offer better pleas. Better than what you would see with a lesser respected attorney. I walked away a free man, verdict Not Guilty. Thank you Jon.

Jon was a great lawyer. He knows the law extremely well. He came to see me in custody and gave me peace of mind. We spent two years together throughout my case. He prepared me for the worst. He fought for me and I ended up with a great outcome and am very pleased. I hope I never have to retain Jon again BUT if I find myself in any legal trouble, I wouldn't go to anyone else.
