Richard was great to work with and provided invaluable support throughout my case. From our initial communication, he offered a great deal of helpful information—even before I officially retained him as my attorney. This ultimately became the deciding factor for me, as he had no obligation to assist at that stage yet did so anyway. He was consistently responsive, calm, and attentive to the specific details of my case.

I would not recommend this attorney to anyone. When I first needed representation I looked around and saw Richard on google with a good 4/5 star review. I read his 5/5 and his 1/5 and thought that the 1/5 stars reviews were just upset at him because the case was lost, but in fact that’s not the reason why. He only seemed to care in the beginning when I first called about my case, showing interest and telling me that he can be the one to help me out. So I decided to give the benefit of the doubt, and hired him. As soon as I sent the money over, everything immediately changed. When I had questions about the case and texted him, he would leave me on delivered for days often leading me to have to double text him for a response. In those responses he did not seem to care and would make it seem like a "search it up/ask someone else" response. He never truly cared about representation which is very disappointing to me, he only cares about the money he can earn. Also he would show up late to my hearings often 10-30 minutes late, showing me that he really doesn’t care about what he’s doing in general. Maybe the 5/5 stars reviews are when he still cared about representation and had that hunger in him to be the best attorney, but in my opinion if you are reading this. Do not hire him, it is much better to go to someone else. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and he still failed. While in court when he was negotiating with the DA it seemed like he didn’t care to really push for a better plea deal. He just told me straight forward "thats the best I can do" and he may not be lying but it would be nice to see you try a little harder through that door when negotiating. You failed at representing me Richard especially when I had hope in you.

After my first conversation with Richard he made me feel confident that I was in good hands. He took the time to listen to my side of the story, and he showcased extensive knowledge in his fields of practice and how the court system works in Modesto. It was evident that he had the experience to help me fight and prove my innocence. He did an amazing job representing me, and got my case dismissed! It’s funny how you say the acquisitions Are 100% shameful and aren’t true. Especially when I called to find out how you were placed on my son‘s case and they told me you were a hired lawyer, which meant someone from within hired you it wasn’t me. They told me to my face that I hired you, knowing that I didn’t which made it plainly obvious that someone from within Hired you to not properly represent my son so everything that I said is true. I had plenty of Of paperwork from schools and mentors that I asked you to share on behalf of my son you refused, and you Refused to speak up on my son’s behalf because you were hired to not do the job properly so that he wouldn’t Have Proper representation. So that he wouldn’t have proper backing. So don’t sit and say that my accusations aren’t true and that they are false because they’re 100% TRUE I know YOU Were hired to not properly represent my child from someone within. I was told you were a hired attorney and I hired I said no, I did not hire him. They said yes you did. I said no, I did not and they said well. Someone hired him to represent your son. They asked me if another family member hired you I told them no because no one did. You came to him freely from within and once again they told me well someone Hired him. That’s not false. That’s 100% true.

Seemed like he really cared before we hired him. As soon as he got paid, all the empathy disappeared. Just a job to him. He gets paid no matter what. Do not hire.

Richard Meyer is an attorney I would recommend to my friends and family, or anyone, who needs reliable and honest legal help. Mr. Meyer represented my good friend after getting a DUI and he got great results with her case- and she didn't lose her license. He was available to talk every time she called and kept her informed about everything from start to finish. It was a relief to have this attorney on my friend's side and his fee was very reasonable for the excellent service he provided.
