Treyson J. Brooks

Treyson Brooks is a borderline unethical attorney with how he bills. He was hired by another attorney and proceeded to bill a flat fee per document. No written prior agreement, no discussion on the scope. No discussion of flat fees. He reviewed 9 deeds or deeds of trusts (several of which were identical, just the property description was changed) and he is trying to justify charging $250 per document. That is over $2000 of work for 9 tasks that maybe take 15 min for the first one and 5 minutes after that? Again, these were reviewing deeds, not preparing them. Title Companies charge $150 to prepare them. But he thinks $250 to review is justified? Even after I brough this up he continues to argue and say he's cheaper than most attorney's. Unfortunately for him I deal with several real estate attorneys on a daily basis and they don't charge near what he does for basic basic work. Either his practices are unethical or he is incompetent and reviewing a deed is difficult work for him. Either way, neither is good.
