If I could have given negative stars, I would have. Throughout the months that Mr. Willson represented me, his communication was consistently dismissive and negative. If I received a response at all, his emails were often short, incoherent, unprofessional, and filled with misspellings and grammatical errors. There was no professional legal advice/counsel provided, and after each email Mr. Willson sent, I was left more confused along with a new increased bill statement. It is evident that James Willson never intended to represent me as agreed. He seemed more inclined to settle the case against my wishes, opting for the path that required the least amount of effort. After the damage and neglect on my case, I expressed my concerns about his lack of action or updates on my case. Mr. Willson became hostile and defensive. Eventually, he emailed me saying that I should hire another attorney that can give my case more time. I agreed to release him. However, shortly thereafter, his law firm sent me a statement that included outrageous charges, adding thousands of dollars to my bill. Mr. Willson billed me for hours of work he never performed and added nine hours for email communication to my bill statement, in which all new inquiries were backdated. After I found a new attorney, Mr. Willson refused to cooperate and ignored my new attorney despite multiple attempts to communicate. This experience was more than disappointing — it was damaging. Legal representation is built on trust, communication, and integrity, and all three were absent here. Instead of an advocate, I encountered neglect, hostility, and billing practices that raised serious concerns about honesty and professionalism. I am speaking out because situations like this don’t just affect one client; they affect families, children, and people navigating some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. No one should walk away from legal representation feeling ignored, misled, and financially taken advantage of. No one should have to fight their legal battle while also fighting the attorney they trusted to stand beside them. My hope is that by sharing this, it will protect other families in the future.

Mr. Willson was inaccessible most of the time and appeared to have difficulty remembering basic details of my divorce case. He regularly failed to update the courts with filings. This caused a delay in the processing of the court process. After collecting a significant amount of money, Mr. Willson dropped my case but them requested additional money. I would not recommend Mr. Willson. After finding another local lawyer, my case was completed within a fraction of the time at a much lower cost.

I cannot say enough good things about Mr Willson. Not only is he an incredible attorney but an incredible person. I came to him with a disastrous case that was leading to a horrible ending. I came in his office and explained everything, as he sat down and listened. I can call him and talk to Mr Willson for hours. He listens to my every concern and needs. He worked many hours and was responding to emails at 6am, 10pm and all different times. He is an amazing person. I love him, has a heart of gold and would recommend him to anyone.

For the reviewers who are negative and critical of Mr Wilson, notice they have left no verifiable information regarding themselves. There's only two of them I can see in particular. They're both random and claim verifications they don't include in the reviews. Individuals who hide behind disguised profiles. Notice the first negative reviewer claimed Mr Wilson was scheduled to retire almost a year ago. He obviously doesn't have any personal knowledge of this attorney. All of us that truly do know him know him are touched by his dedication and his commitment to family law. Thank you Mr Wilson for all your efforts over the years and your personal involvement beyond representation. Your service comes along with an involuntary friendship and there's never a better attorney.

Reading all these amazing reviews, and am surprised. This attorney definitely was no help to a close friend of mine when he really needed the help. Mr. Willson came very highly recommended and was a huge disappointment, in what has been a life altering event for a good friend.

Worse attorney ever. I hired Mr Willson from 15 Sept 21 to 15 Dec 22. He charged me thousands of dollars for my divorce and now claims he only received a small portion of it. He kept promising me things (I have email proof) then settled all for the other side and claims I wanted to do it that way. He did not want me to show 50lbs of paperwork proof to the judge, nor give him proof of child abuse. Did not let me or my witnesses see the judge and advocated for making me homeless within two weeks and get not one cent of what was legally mine. In addition he gave me a lot of illegal advice such as just disappear and give him a fake address or get a gun and shoot him. I am not financially and mentally ruined thanks to his malpractice. I know he is retiring in two weeks and does not care about me making this public, but this is a scandal!

I wanna give a big shoutout to my lawyer James Wilson for being there for me when I needed him the most. He was there to help me 9yrs after defending me and winning my case and getting everything I wanted in the divorce the most important thing was my kids. I would highly recommend him if you need a lawyer. Best of the BEST for sure. Thank you Mr Wilson and God bless you for being there..✝️✝️✝️
