I used this group for the closing on our new house. They were nice, but the experience wasn't what I had expected. After closing, I'm still having to submit documents for signatures they missed.

Never will I ever pick them again they just out for the money I spoke to this lawyer about my case he charged me to talk to over the phone 4x I was never told hey I going to charge u for this so I basically paid him to do nothing also when it was all must time for me to go to court the lawyer told me he couldn’t do anything else until he was paid I called to pay him gave 200 dollars on one day turn right around tried to give him 200 the next day and when we got to court I was going to give the 180 pretty much he made a big deal over 180 and did not want to take my case never told me how much he was charging me in the beginning then if I had known the I would have better prepared for that but I also felt like after I would have paid him the 580 he would have charged me again for him to actually go to court then he had told me that I wanted him to work for free never will I use them ever again I would rather get a better lawyer and pay top dollar I feel like this lawyer pick and choose who the wanted to deal with

UPDATE: I previously reviewed Chiarello & Wagner, PLLC for their handling of a February 24, 2026 real estate closing where they owed me $1,750 as a vendor/third-party collector. They mailed my check to the wrong address (bank address on my invoice) instead of wiring the funds as clearly instructed. Partner Christopher Linton refused to fix it, told me "I don’t care," threatened to block me, and hung up. On March 11, 2026, owner Mark J. Chiarello finally responded. He admitted they reviewed the invoice and mailed the check, blamed me for the "incorrect address," suggested I personally go pick it up from the bank, or wait for the check to be returned to them. He called my demands "AI slop" and refused to wire the money immediately. The client has confirmed they paid the firm in full. Yet 30+ days later I still have not been paid. This is not an honest mistake — it is deliberate stalling and refusal to disburse third-party escrow funds. Avoid this firm. If they treat vendors this poorly, imagine what they’ll do to you as a client. I have filed complaints with the North Carolina State Bar (against both Linton and Chiarello) and the BBB. I am also pursuing a lawsuit in Forsyth County Small Claims Court. ORIGINAL: Chiarallo & Wagner (especially partner Chris Linton) owes me money from a real estate deal they handled. They sent payment to the wrong address—despite my invoice clearly listing the correct bank info for wire transfer. When I called to fix it, Linton argued, refused to reissue the check, told me ‘I don’t care,’ threatened to block me, and hung up after demanding to speak to my ‘supervisor’—only to learn I’m the owner. He said I ‘wasn’t his client’ and walked away like it was nothing. This isn’t just bad service—it’s reckless. They either can’t afford to pay what they owe or don’t care enough to try. I won’t stop until I’m paid, and I’ll be filing with the BBB, state bar, and anywhere else this belongs. Avoid this firm—especially Linton. If they’ll stiff a vendor over a simple mistake, imagine what they’ll do to you.
